As of June 2025, players at the Enchanted Princess casino have reported that the craps table has been switched to a crapless variant.
In crapless craps, the Come Out roll treats all numbers from 2 to 12 as point numbers, meaning you cannot lose on the initial roll with a 2, 3, or 12, unlike regular craps, where those numbers result in an immediate loss. An 11 is also treated as a point, whereas in regular craps, it’s an automatic win on the Come Out roll.
There are two main reasons I am not a fan of crapless craps:
- Increased house edge: In regular craps, the pass line only has about a 1.41% house edge – in crapless, it’s 5.38%.
- No darkside bets: I’m a hybrid player and enjoy moving to the darkside when the table is cold or to hedge my placed numbers. In crapless craps, there is no “Don’t Pass” or “Don’t Come” bet – so darkside players are out of luck.
I wish Princess had just added a crapless table. By replacing the regular table, players don’t have a choice to play the game they want.
